Cottage in Derbyshire

I posted about this home a few months ago. This is just an update with larger images.<br /><br />How about touring a shabby chick cottage in England today? Phil and Philippa Heath moved to this three-bedroom cottage in the Derbyshire countryside, on the edges of the Peak District, in the early 1990s. The property was built around 200 years ago. It had been rented out as a gamekeeper’s cottage for a long while, and been neglected for many years; it was dark and damp and there were even mushrooms growing on the walls. So, little by little they restored every room. The furniture was picked up from all manner of places, including reclamation yards and house sales. The Heaths also gratefully accepted hand-me-downs from friends and family, while some items were even rescued from skips. An overall feminine, shabby chick style cottage with lots of floral prints and little hearts in almost every room.<br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_18.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_18.jpg" /><br />Phil, Philippa, and their four children.<br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_01.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_01.jpg" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_05.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_05.jpg" style="cursor: -moz-zoom-out;" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_02.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_02.jpg" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_04.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_04.jpg" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_06.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_06.jpg" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_10.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_10.jpg" style="cursor: -moz-zoom-out;" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_03.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_03.jpg" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_07.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_07.jpg" style="cursor: -moz-zoom-out;" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_08.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_08.jpg" style="cursor: -moz-zoom-out;" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_09.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_09.jpg" style="cursor: -moz-zoom-out;" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_11.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_11.jpg" style="cursor: -moz-zoom-out;" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_12.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_12.jpg" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_13.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_13.jpg" style="cursor: -moz-zoom-out;" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_14.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_14.jpg" style="cursor: -moz-zoom-out;" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_15.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_15.jpg" style="cursor: -moz-zoom-out;" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_16.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_16.jpg" style="cursor: -moz-zoom-out;" /><br /><br /><img alt="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_17.jpg" src="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/sites/default/files/0210heath_17.jpg" style="cursor: -moz-zoom-out;" /><br /><br />All images from <a href="http://www.periodliving.co.uk/">here</a>.

This home is in Normandy, France and it is called L'Orne. Nobody actually lives here but it is set up as a shooting location for films or photography.
